Arrangements for a Civil Ceremony need to be made directly by you with the Scarborough Registrar, who will be able to explain all you need to know about the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, the Prince Regent and adjoining Sun Terrace provides you with excellent photo opportunities and can be quickly transformed ready for your drinks reception. For further photo opportunities, feel free to explore other areas of the hotel, such as the famous Royal Hotel staircase and atrium or cross the road into St. Nicholas Cliff Gardens for amazing sea views.

For those choosing a Registry Office or traditional Church Wedding, a red carpet reception awaits. On arrival, your Master of Ceremonies for the day will greet you before escorting you up the main stairs to the beautiful Prince Regent room where you will join family and friends for your drinks reception. In warmer months, take advantage of The Royal Hotel’s spacious Sun Terrace for a drinks reception offering some of the best sea views in Scarborough. Depending on the size and time of your reception, our Scarborough hotel has several different suites to choose from to host your Wedding Breakfast.

The Sea View Restaurant is a magnificent reception venue at the centre of the hotel and hosts up to 350 guests. You and your wedding party will enjoy traditional décor, high ceilings and views of South Bay creating a real a day to remember.

The Cavalier Suite caters for up to 80 guests and is perfectly positioned for exclusive use. Add intimacy and style to your special day by making use of the three distinct areas this suite provides and enjoy the private dance floor, bar and separate areas for people to relax and chat.

The Royal Ballroom is a magical room offering the ultimate venue in which to enjoy your reception. With its sparkling chandeliers and regal feel this suite also hosts its own dance floor and bar and makes an excellent choice of venue catering for up to 150 guests.

Additional evening guests are welcomed into the hotel for your evening reception. Your chosen venue will be transformed ready for a night of celebration with plenty of space for a disco live band. Extensive evening buffet menus provide an excellent selection for your guests.

The Royal Hotel’s Honeymoon Suite is complemented with a fabulous 4 poster bed the perfect room for the Bride and Groom to spend their wedding night. If your taste is more contemporary then select The Sitwell Suite – encompassing a more modern feel including a glass walled en suite bathroom and offering fabulous harbour views. Deluxe accommodation for the Bride & Groom is complimentary for weddings with over 60 guests.
